Context

A brief at Tractor required me to create a fictional restaurant brand. I made a fine-dining seafood restaurant that is located on the bays edge of Williamstown, Victoria. Aurora aims to create a care-free vibe that customers get while eating the most delicious seafood Melbourne has to offer.

Solution

A custom made typeface is used for the logo. It incorporates round curves and fluid wave motions that represent the waves that are visible from the pier. The angle of the ‘R’ is also used inside the ‘O’ to symbolise waves much more noticeably.

Aurora displays a range of beautiful blue tones across its logo and printed materials. The menu hard cover is bound in a deep blue velvet with thick 220GSM vellum wove paper stock for the inner pages.

An A4 magazine promotes the restaurants opening week. It displays a range of breathtaking landscapes that are found around the Aurora complex. The magazine also features the beautiful food and upcoming events Aurora part of.
